Saxophonist Darren Motamedy has released 12 smooth jazz CD's since 1989. His albums have reached the top ten on the smooth jazz indie charts, and have reached #1 on numerous listener polls.

His music is heard internationally, and he has performed or shared the stage with Kenny G, Jeff Lorber, Ronnie Laws, Steve Oliver, Gerald Veasely, Paul Taylor, Marion Meadows, Keiko Matsui and numerous other smooth jazz greats. He has written hundreds of compositions, and he continues to explore different mediums.

He has three projects that he is working on to date. His 13th smooth jazz album due for release in December of 2017, as well as a Big Band Album written for Junior High School Students. He is also working on a spiritual recording featuring music that he has written for New Age Spiritual Churches.

His life as a musician is complimented with a teaching career that has spanned 20 years. He is currently in charge of the music department at Walter Johnson International Academy in Las Vegas. His program has grown to over 400 students. His jazz bands are known for their outstanding quality and for playing his original pieces at jazz festivals.

Motamedy continues to tour with his band and he works diligently with his school bands. He encourages students to excel at their craft, find their sound, explore music, not lose sight of music's ability to heal the world, create happiness for oneself and others, and find an art form that takes a lifetime to fulfill.
