Joshua's versatile sound, charisma, and improvisational expression have allowed him to position himself as one of the rising R&B and Contemporary saxophonists in Los Angeles, CA today.
As a young musician from Lancaster, CA rooted in Jazz and Gospel music, he honed his knowledge and musicianship through his local high school bands and orchestras. At the age of 16 he was inspired to write and coproduce his first Gospel Jazz album leading him to finding his own voice within the Greater Los Angeles spectrum during his collegiate years and beyond.
Whether on the local music scene or in his local church, his commitment to his craft and unique passion for the art are undeniable. Joshua has graced stages and events across the country including the NFL Pro Bowl Weekend in Honolulu, HI, The Long Beach Jazz Festival, SXSW Festival, and BET Awards. He has been blessed to open and perform for prominent names such as Ari Lennox, 1500 or Nothin', Major, Dame Dash, Doug E. Fresh, Amber Riley, Terrace Martin, Guordan Banks, and others.
Currently he continues to perform for community organizations, private events, and is the lead saxophonist for of the largest independent touring music platforms in Los Angeles, SoulfulofNoise for over 5 years, performing and arranging for emerging artists from around the country. He is credited on a variety of projects as a horn arranger and songwriter including the re-mastered Hip-Hop compilation 'Top Shelf 1988' by Rostrum Records which has garnered TV placements with VISA, Red Bull Media, and HBO MAX.
